Very little information is known about Mogga’s daughter, including her name and age. The only record of her life is Hardy Murfree’s estate settlement. Mogga’s daughter is listed alongside her mother, Mogga, as one of the individuals to be taken from Hardy Murfree’s North Carolina plantation and placed under the possession of Dr. James Maney.[i] The court valued Mogga and her daughter at two-hundred dollars.[ii] Mogga’s daughter likely was taken from her home in North Carolina to the Maney plantation (present day Oaklands Mansion) in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It appears that Mogga’s daughter was separated from her father. It is unknown if Mogga’s daughter was taken from other family members or what happened to her after the estate settlement. There are no further known records of her life.
